Profile Chin Augmentation
Profilesm Chin Augmentation, or genioplasty, is a surgical procedure that corrects a recessive (or weak) chin by reshape and/or enhancing its size. Profilesm can improve the jaw line and jowling by adding volume to the chin area and making the jawline smoother. Since balance is extremely important in the consideration of any type of aesthetic facial cosmetic surgery, the chin is shaped and sized in relationship to the nose, balancing the profile. Patients who believe their noses aren't in proportion to their face may see a significant difference in facial balance following chin augmentation. In these patients, the nose may appear to be large due to a weak chin.
The best candidates for Profilesm are people with weak or receding chins (microgenia), but who have a normal dental bite.
